- PRESENT TENSE
Present tense is used to express habits, general truths, repeated actions or unchanging situations, emotions and wishes: i smoke (habit) ; i work in london (unchanging situation) ; london is a large city (general truth).
To give instructions or directions : you walk for two hundred meters, then you turn left. To express fixed arrangement, present or future : your exam start 07.30 a.m.
- Habitual actions :
- Putra get up at 5 o'clock every morning
- I always do my homework after dinner
2. General truth :
- A week has 7 days
- Water boils at 100 celcius degree
The pattern of non verbal sentence :
(+) subject + to be + adjective/noun/adverb
(-) subject + to be + not + adjective/noun/adverb
(?) to be + subject + adjective/noun/adverb + ?
Example :
(+) Indri is beautiful girl
(-) Indri is not beautiful girl
(?) Is Indri beautiful girl ?
Averb used :
Always, usually, often, never, seldom, sometimes, normally, etc..
The pattern of verbal sentence :
(+) subject + verb I (-s/-es) + object
(-) subject + do/does + not + verb I + object
(?) do/does + subject + verb I + object + ?
Example :
(+) It runs very fast
(-) It does not run very fast
(?) Does it run very fast ?
